Keeping Kids Safe Quilt
In response to the issue of child maltreatment, the Keeping Kids Safe Quilt was conceived by Prevent Child Abuse Lake County and Geminus Community Partners.
We requested the community to participate so we could visually address the subject of child abuse prevention and violence against children.
The Goal of the Quilt is to celebrate children and families. We received 90 squares from adults, individuals, schools, agencies, professionals, churches and children. The quilters put these squares before you so you might think about child abuse, its impact on the child, the survivor, the family and the community.
Change comes slowly heart by heart. We hope each person who sees this quilt will be reawakened to the tragedy of child abuse and be resolved to prevent it.
