Annual IUN Forum on Abuse and Neglect
35th Annual Forum: April 2025
Innovating System Change for Child Safety and Family Well-Being
Friday, April 25, 2025 – 9:00am–4:00pm CDT
The IU School of Social Work will provide continuing education units (CEUs) for licensed social workers. A CEU sign-up sheet will be available in each plenary and workshop session for social workers to complete with their licensure number and signature. Participants will receive CEU certificates via email. Certificates of Participation will be provided for those who need a record of attendance but who do not need CEUs.
In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, PCALC collaborates with Indiana University Northwest’s Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE) and a variety of community organizations to present the Annual Forum on Child Abuse and Neglect.
Held each year at IUN’s Bergland Auditorium, the forum brings together professionals who works with families and children as well as concerned citizens to address the issues of child abuse and neglect and to raise awareness. Child Welfare professionals from around the state and the country are invited to speak on child abuse prevention efforts and child protection strategies.
The Forum seeks to invigorate the child-serving community while offering an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals. Each year, the Forum provides hundreds of human services professionals, foster families, and other caregivers with:
- High-quality continuing education and professional development training that qualifies for Social Work continuing education units (CEUs).
- Opportunities to network and to connect to a community of practice.
- A platform to address and discuss relevant public policies.
